  • RMM Bugs

    Good day,

I've 4 items thus far with the RMM module that are of note. I do not mean to create a duplicate account but I can no longer find the previous bug thread.

    1. RMM doesn't start up automatically on client workstation machine after reboot. The target machine is a Windows 7 64 bit pro. Upon initial successful login RMM agent starts and registers with the RMM admin console. This tendency also is replicated if you log off of the user profile. This leads me to believe this ran only as a start up application rather than a service?

    2. Policies cannot be applied to target workstation machine that reports as available. Simply will not allow me to select and apply the policy to the machine (see screen shots).

    3. Hardware Monitor Tool within the sessions tab reports an error of Geekstein CA and user OS have different architectures

    4. Generation of a Linux based install agent reports a link of - http://download-stag.comodo.com/rmm/...ntu_i000772.sh <-- this link is not active/available for download.
    Can't apply policy Policy

          Good day,

I have found, for now, that if a site is deleted then you canĀ“t use the same information again, and if you try to add again the window just close and no information is added on the "Manage Sites" window.

          Best regards,

          Andre MS.

We are also having the same issue as #2 (Policies cannot be applied to target workstation machine that reports as available. Simply will not allow me to select and apply the policy to the machine) Just wont allow us to add policies.

Just to report a bug, hope I am writing on the correct forum...

The admin console crashes without any messages when trying to create a procedure. I click on "create" button and the window that you can create a procedure shows. I can give a name and a description to the procedure, but when I choose "application" and press the > button it doesn't show anything on the right side of the window. The first time I tried, it allowed me to input URL etc and after clicking "Save" it crashed but after that, it will just crash some seconds after I click the > button.

                Thanks in advance.

Edit: Have just noticed that the unit.exe procedure which is the RMM Component, is hogging the CPU over 85% and even 99%. And the same happens with memory until it crashes...

                    Hi,

Thanks for reporting it. We are going to investigate this.

In the mean time, could you please uninstall the console and install again to see if it is a reproducible problem or not?

                    Best regards,
                    Ilker

                      Thanks for your reply Ilker,

I have uninstalled the console, rebooted and installed it again. And the problem persists.
CPU occupied by unit.exe (one of the instances) is about 20% (6-core AMD) and RAM consumption raises up to 1 GB (of 8 GB in total) by the same process. This happens whether I am messing with the console (trying to add procedures etc) or just letting it be (basically it crashes after a couple of minutes no matter what). I am on Windows 7 x64 with all the patches installed. The PC I am using is a quite powerful one and I rarely have crashes in other programs.
I even tried installing the console to a VM I have set up but again the same problem.

                      Cheers,
                      FilthX

I, too, am having issues 1 and 2- the agent only starts after a login and I can't apply policies to available systems. Any idea when that would be fixed?
Also, will there be the ability to run silently in the background, so the clients don't get popups every time a procedure is run on their machine?

                            Hi,

                            Thank you for feedback.

Number 2 will be resolved on new release that we aim to to do in upcoming days.

Number 1 is on road map and will come with future releases.

Also, making notifications optional and off by default is on road map and will be addressed.
