  • RMM Insane memory usage

Just recently installed Comodo one and RMM on a Windows 2008 x64 server to test it out and I got mail from one of my Comodo server monitors regarding memory usage. I logged in to the server and it was on 100% memory usage! The culprit is unit.exe (Remote Management and Monitoring Component). I'm very displeased with this and I immediately closed the process and kept an eye on the server during the day. What I found out is that the process restarts and the memory just keeps ramping back up over the course of time.

    Hello mmk23

This case will need to be investigated by our Development team. Please gather the following data and send it to us at c1-support@comodo.com

-Msinfo32 from the affected machine: Start > Run > msinfo32> File > Save
    -RMM Agent version
    -RMM Console Version

    Agent Logs:
    1. Navigate to:
    C\Program Files (x86)\COMODO\Rmm Agent Service
    or to
    C\Program Files\COMODO\Rmm Agent Service
    2. Edit dbg_config.ini:
    change Level=7 to Level=15
    change Mode=2 to Mode=3
    3. Wait for the issue to reproduce and then collect Logs from:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\COMODO\Rmm Agent Service\logs
    or
    C:\Program Files\COMODO\Rmm Agent Service\logs

    Thank you!
